Biography
Dr. Battige serves as the Chair of Special Education programs. She began her career as a music teacher in Florida quickly moved into special education working with EBD and ID students in the urban core. After serving in multiple special education leadership roles within the public school system, Dr. Battige transitioned into the private school setting in various leadership roles. She joined Liberty University Online in 2010 before accepting her current residential position. Dr. Battige is an ordained minister and served as the Pastoral Counselor for an ARC Church before moving to Lynchburg.
