The Master of Theology (Th.M.): Global Studies degree focuses on understanding theology in a global context.

Prepare to engage with belief systems found in different world religions. Explore key issues in intercultural communication. The Global Studies focus will prepare you to minister in different cultural contexts, both globally and in the United States.

Liberty University provides diverse opportunities for ministry, internships, and international travel.

Thesis or Non-Thesis?

The decision between a thesis track and a non-thesis track generally revolves around your interest in future Ph.D. work. Many credible Ph.D. programs will not accept a student who has not already completed a thesis.

Students not interested in a future Ph.D. have the option of choosing the non-thesis track. The non-thesis option includes practical internship experience focusing on ethnolinguistic cultural contexts. Spend a month living in another cultural context. Or, complete 150 contact hours. This internship experience will be completed under the supervision of a qualified mentor.

The Master of Theology (Th.M.): Global Studies degree is also available online.
