
Reese Braband is a graduate and current employee of Liberty University as Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations and Holistic Development. He completed a master’s degree in Sport Management from Liberty in May 2013. Reese and his wife, Jodi, have been married since 2013 and they currently reside in Forest, VA with their children, Michael, Sadie, Charlie, Hannah, and Emma.
Braband has been the lacrosse team chaplain since 2020. He formerly was the lacrosse team manager from 2011-2013 while he was in graduate school. His current role is to biblically disciple the athletes and coaches on the team. “We have an incredible opportunity to use the sport of lacrosse to love God with all of our heart, soul, strength, and mind and love our neighbors as ourselves.” (Matt 22:37-39) The Men’s Lacrosse Team Bible verse is 1 Timothy 4:8: for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
The third annual Club Sports spiritual leadership retreat took 39 Liberty student-athletes and four staff members to the Peak’s Retreat & Adventure Center in Thaxton, Va., on Tuesday and Wednesday.
