Growing up in the small town of Maize, Kansas, Kayla can't imagine a time when her life didn't involve horses. She sat on a horse before she could walk and began riding in local and 4H shows on her little pony, soon after graduating to larger Quarter Horses. Not limiting herself to one specific area, Kayla could be found doing everything from Barrel Racing and other speed events to Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Trail and all other events. She competed in KWHA, ABRA, NSC, Kansas State Fair, and American Royal shows held in Kansas City. Her favorite things to do include hopping on a horse bareback and spending hours riding wherever the wind takes her, and working with and training all kinds of horses . Kayla joined the Western Equestrian Team in its first year of existence at Liberty University, and spent the summer of 2015 in Kentucky riding and learning about Reining horses under the direction of Mike Flarida. Kayla is also a part of the nationally-acclaimed Liberty University Chamber Singers and can also be seen performing in the Liberty University Opera.
