Elizabeth was born into a horseback riding family. Her parents, Armand and Martha Chenelle, taught her how to ride before she could walk. She has ridden for 20 years, under her parent’s instruction, at Windcrest Farm. Before coming to Liberty, she competed all throughout her younger years and more recently at a competitive level. She qualified, competed, and placed in shows such as USEF Pony Medal Finals, Marshal and Sterling League Finals, Connecticut Medal Finals, Massachusetts Medal Finals, and a number of classics. In 2012, Elizabeth qualified for the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Nationals Open Over fences class through a series of Regional and Zone shows. She has recently competed in the adult equitation and jumpers on the USEF circuit. Her most recent accomplishments include winning the Connecticut Modified Adult Medal Final in 2014 and winning the 2015 IHSA Intermediate Region 5 over fences class, which qualified her for the 2015 IHSA Zone Finals and the 2015 Mid-Atlantic Equitation Final. Here at Liberty, she is an Elementary Education Major. She plans to one day teach riding and help run an equestrian program. She loves spending time with her family and watching them compete at the NCAA level.
