Fire on ice: Liberty DI men’s hockey season tickets a hot commodity
Since opening season tickets for Liberty University’s ACHA Division I men’s hockey team’s 2022-23 season to the public last Friday, nearly 300 have been sold, 50 more than last summer at this time.
“We set the record for season ticket sales last year at 530, so we are aiming to beat the record in back-to-back seasons,” Liberty Assistant Director of Ticket Operations Will Griffith (’20) said.
This season, the LaHaye Ice Center, which has a capacity of close to 4,000, will host 20 games, starting with the season-opening contest against North Carolina State on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m., just eight weeks from today.
The schedule includes three “Midnight Mayhem” matchups — against Niagara on Oct. 1, Maryville on Dec. 2, and UNLV on Jan. 21 — to which season-ticket holders are allowed early entry.
Liberty will conclude its regular season with three consecutive home series in February — against Adrian, Ohio, and Minot — setting the stage for a potential seventh consecutive bid to the ACHA DI National Championships, March 16-21 near Boston.
To order season tickets, which range from $60/$75 for Liberty student general admission/reserved to $70/$95 for faculty/staff, military, senior, youth, or Varsity Club general admission/reserved, to $100/$125 for adult general admission/reserved, visit the online portal on the Liberty website.
