Housed at Liberty Mountain Gun Club, the archery ranges open to students all year-round. The LMGC archery range includes 10 lanes of 3-D archery, as well as traditional Olympic style archery targets. Home to the Liberty archery team, students can practice on competition grade foam animal targets, as well as traditional round targets.
Liberty offers two disc golf courses on its campus that are home to the Disc Golf Team. Campus East’s 18-hole course offers multiple tees and two basket locations per hole, while Liberty Mountain’s Hydaway 20-hole course offers multiple tees and one basket per hole.
The Equestrian Center provides opportunities for students to board personal horses, take riding lessons, and explore Liberty Mountain on horseback. The facility is located on the backside of Liberty Mountain and is home to our equestrian team.
At 40 miles long and a total of 20,600 acres, Liberty crew calls Smith Mountain Lake home which is complete with a boathouse specific to the team.
LaHaye Ice Center is home to Liberty’s hockey teams, as well as the synchronized and figuring skating teams. Students can enjoy ice skating, hockey, and broomball when teams aren’t practicing. The ice center also offers lessons in figure skating & learn to skate programs.
The lacrosse facilities located at the East Athletic Complex on East Campus, house the Liberty Men’s Lacrosse team including men’s locker room, team room, athletic turf fields as well as a media press box.
Eight sand volleyball courts are located on East Campus. The courts are home to the Liberty beach Volleyball team and are lit for nighttime use and open play.
The Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is the first artificial ski slope of its kind in North America. It offers year-round snowless skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Free to students, it is home to the Liberty ski and snowboard team.
Located in LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center, these courts are home to the Liberty Racquetball Team. The courts, and rental equipment, are also available to LaHaye Rec & Fit members to utilize for open play and reservations.
Located in LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center, the rock wall is home to the Liberty Rock Climbing team. LaHaye Rec & Fit members can climb free of charge.
The Strength & Conditioning Department has two facilities. The Ice Rink Weight Room located inside the Lahaye Ice Center and Club Sports Weight Room at the bottom of the adjacent parking lot.
Our Sports Medicine Department has 3 well equipped athletic training clinics. Our main clinic and ice rink clinic are used on a daily basis for the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Our third clinic, located near the lacrosse field, is used for game day treatments only. Each of these facilities include various modalities used to prepare our athletes for competition following injuries.
