Extraordinary Women Conference: Featuring Shannon Bream

Thomas Road Baptist Church will welcome around 4,500 women Oct. 7-8 for the Extraordinary Women Conference 2022.

With this year’s theme “Pursuing an Unfailing God,” the Extraordinary Women Conference has been held all over the country, including Pensacola, Florida, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Conferences scheduled for October in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Charlotte, North Carolina, are sold out.

Speakers for the event include comedian Chonda Pierce, author Annie F. Downs, news anchor Shannon Bream, speaker Margaret Feinberg, author Alli Worthington and Extraordinary Women Ministries president Julie Clinton.

Additionally, singers Phil Wickham and Michael O’Brien will be performing at the event.

“The EW team gathers together to pray through who should speak at our events,” Garrett Hedrick, director of communications at Extraordinary Women, said. “Most often, speakers are chosen by aligning their stories (or) messages to the current EW tour theme. Our team believes that each speaker has a unique story (or) message that helps drive home the theme we believe God has given to us to share with women across
the country.”

“Over the last few years, people have experienced some very difficult things,” Hedrick said. “Our goal is to help women draw closer to the heart of God and show them that no matter what the circumstances, his love is unfailing.”

The weekend will kick off Friday at 7 p.m. with Annie F. Downs speaking, followed by a concert with Phil Wickham at 9 p.m.

Saturday will begin with Alli Worthington, followed by Margaret Feinberg. After a lunch break, Chonda Pierce will speak, with Shannon Bream being the last speaker of the
conference.

“Each speaker will share a different message, but we are praying that the Holy Spirit will weave together each speaker’s message to highlight the theme and transform the hearts of women who are choosing to spend their weekend with us,” Hedrick said.

Sponsors for the event include Compassion International, Save the Storks, Convoy of Hope, Operation Christmas Child and Spirit FM.

“This is truly one of the best women’s conferences in the country,” Hedrick said. “It is packed full of biblical truth, encouragement, inspiration and fun. There is a little bit of everything for everyone. If women at Liberty are looking to hear from some of the best leading voices in Christian women’s ministry, this event is for them.”

Registration for the event is $69, and tickets will be on sale at https://www.ewomen.net/lynchburg-va-2022/ until the event sells out.
