Liberty hosts virginia Bridal Show

February is known as the month of love. What better way to celebrate love than with a wedding?

Hosted by Virginia Bride Magazine, The Greater Lynchburg Bridal Show provides the perfect opportunity for newly-engaged couples in the central Virginia area to meet with local vendors as they plan their special wedding day. 

This year, the show was held Feb. 15 in the LaHaye Multipurpose Center at Liberty from 1 to 5 p.m., with tickets costing $10 per person.

Photographers, videographers, caterers, bridal stores, music companies, hotel venues, florists, makeup companies, wedding venue hosts, furniture businesses, fitness coaches and hair and nail specialists
attended the event with hopes to reach newly engaged couples. 

Vendors created several connections with guests in a short amount of time. The day was an opportunity for them to display what they do best, and many showcased samples of their work. Wedding cakes, table settings and wedding dresses were among the items featured.

Special features of the day also included a designer fashion show by Ashley Grace Bridal with new wedding dress designs, as well as additional giveaways, including a grand prize of an all-expenses-paid, eight-day and seven-night honeymoon to Europe, the Caribbean or the U.S. for one lucky couple
in attendance.

Liberty has hosted the bridal show for the past three years, and host of the event and publisher of Virginia Bride Magazine Angeline Frame said they plan to host the show on campus during February in years to come.

“This event allows couples to meet with professionals and see who they connect really well with,” Frame said. “We hope our guests can potentially leave the show with their entire wedding planned, all completed in one place and one day.”

Frame and her team host a total of eight bridal shows in Virginia each year. They are celebrating 18 years of business with Virginia Bride Magazine this year.
