Belgium
Terrorist attacks were carried out in Belgium at the Brussels Airport and the Maelbeek subway station, Tuesday, March 22, killing 31 people and injuring more than 200. It is believed that Belgium became a target because of its involvement in counterterrorism efforts. Two of the suspects were suicide bombers, and the third is still at large. There’s growing concern that more attacks could occur. This comes a week after Salah Abdeslam, the suspect involved in the Paris attacks, was captured in Belgium.

Obama in Cuba

President Obama was kickin it in Cuba, making it the first visit by a U.S. president to the communist country since 1928. The White House claimed that the visit was a step in the “normalization process” between the two countries. Many were concerned about the president’s decision to stay in Cuba despite the attacks in Belgium and growing concern of future terror attacks. Obama spent his time giving speeches and taking in some baseball.

Primaries
The 2016 election season is the gift that keeps on giving. The race to 1,237 continued Tuesday, March 23 as Ted Cruz and Donald Trump finished the night in a draw. Cruz took Utah by a pretty good margin, and Trump claimed Arizona. On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton got the win in Arizona, while Bernie Sanders won big in Utah and Idaho. But, it might be time to stop feeling the Bern. The real action could be seen on Twitter, where the Donald expressed that he was none too pleased with an ad featuring a GQ picture of Trump’s wife Melania, and well, things got a little shady.

March Madness
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. If you’re like the rest of us, your bracket has long been busted, but that’s ok. There’s so much more to look forward to, and everyone loves a good Cinderella story, right? The Sweet Sixteen is upon us, kicking off Thursday, March 24 with Oregon (1) v. Duke (4) and Kansas (1) v. Maryland (5) being two of the eight matchups to look forward to. Let’s not forget upsets— everyone loves upsets. And just remember, perfect brackets are like unicorns—they’re not real.

Beloved NBA reporter Craig Sager announced his cancer is no longer in remission in an interview with “Real Sports” Tuesday. He also confirmed reports that he’s been given a timeframe of 3 to 6 months to live. Sager revealed his battle with leukemia two years ago, and has undergone several treatments since then. Known for his impeccable wardrobe and fun sideline interviews with the likes of Gregg Popovich, Sager is a staple during basketball season.
