“God is asking. … The world is waiting.”

These words by Clayton King defined Global Focus Week.

This past week, Liberty was focused on engaging students in what is happening on an international scale — not only what is going on overseas, but how we can be part of God’s mission to “go into all the world and preach the gospel.”

We began with messages from Dr. John Strohman and Ghassan Thomas. Both men encouraged us to be salt and light in a lost world. To be stewards of the call God has given us all.

King was then welcomed back to Liberty’s campus Wednesday by a crowd of students who could not wait to hear him bring forth the word. In loving conviction, King explained how we have two choices in this life — you either send people out on mission or you go out on mission.

God is calling us to go out and share. The truth of the gospel is alive and well. It is moving and working in people’s lives, and it always will be.

We are being trained here at Liberty to become “champions for Christ.” We are daily being prepared to do exactly what God has called us to do — go. That does not always mean that we have to go across the world in order to share the gospel. It could simply mean walking next door or down the street to share the good news of Jesus. Wherever you are called, go. Do not wait. The time is now for the children of God to rise up — unashamed, radical and ready to bring Jesus into all the world.

Just as King reminded us, the choice is ours — send, go or disobey.
