FOCUS was created in 1987 and is a by-product of the IBM Corporation’s pioneering work in the development of computer-based career and educational planning systems. The IBM design team was composed of nationally prominent career development educators and theorists, with Dr. Donald Super as chief architect. Other team members included Dr. Roger A. Myers, Dr. David Tiedeman, Dr. David Campbell and Dr. Frank J. Minor of IBM.
