Do I need to do anything before the first time I go to Snowflex?
Every guest needs to fill out a waiver when they get to Snowflex. Guests under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the release form. If you are 18 and older, please bring a government-issued ID. If you’re a Liberty University student, your Liberty ID is required as well.
Do you give refunds or rainchecks?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for any reason after the order transaction is complete at the ticketing desk. This includes weather related events. We do not issue rain checks. Please check local weather conditions prior to planning your visit.
Do you have any age requirements?
There is no age requirement at the facility. A child must be 36 inches tall to participate in tubing. There is no age requirement for skiing/snowboarding and it is up the parent/legal guardian to decide whether or not their child/dependent should participate in any of those offered activities.
Do you have any dress requirements?
There is no dress requirement for skiing/snowboarding or tubing, however, you should check the local weather and dress accordingly. It is highly encouraged that you wear something that will cover your hands, elbows, and knees while skiing or snowboarding, due to the material used to make Snowflex it can be abrasive on exposed skin. Hands, elbows, and knees can make hard contact with the surface when falling causing the skin to be become scratched and irritated. It is required that some form of footwear be worn while tubing.
What should I expect my first time riding at Snowflex?
All first-time visitors who are skiing or snowboarding are encouraged to try the beginner slope immediately after check-in regardless of skill level. Due to the physical differences between Snowflex and actual snow, even the most skilled riders must adapt to the surface before proceeding to the intermediate/advanced slope. Expect clothing to become damp due to the slope’s misting system.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
We recommend all customers wear helmets. It is required to wear a helmet to hit any of the features or jumps on our slope.
Does it hurt to fall on the Snowflex material?
There are 2 inches of foam cushioning underneath the Snowflex material to ensure that the different impacts that you might experience while riding are minimal. Snowflex can be abrasive to bare skin. We highly recommend covering your knees and elbows to avoid the dreaded “carpet burn” as much as possible.
Can I use my own equipment?
Yes you may bring your own equipment to ride with at our facility. Snowflex does not require special equipment to ride with and many of our staff use their own equipment when riding.
Can I check out your equipment and take it somewhere with me?
No, our equipment is not allowed to leave our facility.
I am a Liberty student/faculty/staff. Do I get a discount on an event reservation?
Faculty and staff able to receive a 15% discount on lodge rentals when reserving for personal use. Students can reserve events for free if it is a university related event. Visit our Parties and Events page for more information.
