Liberty Head Coach Kirk Handy will have the Flames battle-tested for the ACHA Division I National Championships with a challenging schedule in the second semester.

Featuring the top two scorers in ACHA Division I, freshman Luke Hannon (28 goals, 28 assists) and senior Lindsay LeBlanc (15G, 34A), the Liberty University Flames (16-6-4) were ranked as high as No. 7 in the nation in the fall semester. Liberty's defense, led by senior captain Matt Sherry and freshman alternate captain Ben Hughes, has provided stellar protection in front of senior goalie Cary Byron and Josh Halpenny, who returned from an injury to play in Liberty's last game before the Christmas break, a 7-3 win over Virginia Tech.

A "Game On" segment produced by the Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) and featuring analysis from Club Sports Video and Media Coordinator Pat Strawn, Brandon Cockburn, and LFSN sports anchorman Rett McGibbon, provides a look back at the first semester of action for the 11th-ranked Flames.

Liberty opens 2015 play with two games this weekend at Stony Brook (N.Y.), the fifth-ranked team in the latest ACHA DI poll.
