Graduate Madison Fischer returned for her final semester of eligibility this spring and has solidified Liberty's defense.

Three members of Liberty University's ACHA Division I women's hockey team, which is currently competing in the ACHA DI National Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich., talked with Club Sports Videography Coordinator Gabe Henderson for this segment of "In Their Own Words."

Graduate defenseman Madison Fischer, senior forward and head captain Carrie Jickling, and sophomore forward Chelsey Greenwood discuss the remarkable regular season the Lady Flames recently completed, going unbeaten against ACHA competition and maintaining their No. 1 ranking for all four ACHA DI polls despite losing so much leadership off last year's team.

They also talked about the sense of family and team chemistry on this year's squad, and their hopes of successfully defending their crown at this weekend's national tournament.
