Adventure Day Camp newest Club Sports summer event
May 30, 2015 | Lynchburg, Va.
Instead, Club Sports will introduce a brand new Sports Adventure Day Camp, offering youth ages 6-16 a variety of challenging and fun athletic activities under the supervision of student-athletes, coaches, and Club Sports staff at Liberty from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. the weeks of June 15-19 and Aug. 3-7.
"Most of the activities will take place around campus," said Kaycee Tripp, Club Sports website editor who helped develop the camp concept. "There will be time spent at (Liberty Mountain) Snowflex Centre for tubing, the LaHaye Student Union for basketball, swimming, and rock climbing, the Thomas Indoor Soccer Center for soccer, and the beach volleyball courts for volleyball. So campers will have the opportunity to try their hand at a lot of different sports."
Cost is $275 per camper, which includes lunch, a welcome bag, and a T-shirt.
Other Club Sports camps scheduled for this summer include Snowflex's Next Level day (June 22-26) and overnight (July 19-23) ski and snowboard camps, which includes short trips to the Liberty Mountain Skate Park, and beach volleyball (June 8-10), boys lacrosse (June 22-26), and wrestling camps from June 22-26 (ages 6-12) and July 12-16 (ages 12-18).
