Action sports has been a big part of Isaac Gibson's life for over 12 years, from growing up skateboarding, to snowboarding all four years of college. After spending countless hours on a skateboard through middle and high school, picking up snowboarding after arriving to Liberty University came pretty naturally. Isaac got his start in snowboarding by competing in the first Trails 2 Rails competition Snowflex ever hosted in the Fall of 2011. Developing his skill on rails, he placed second in the final competition. In the Spring of 2012 Isaac competed in Journey 2 Jumps, finishing first in the final competition. After one complete year of snowboarding Isaac made the Liberty University Snowboarding Team in the Fall of 2012. In the Spring of 2014 Isaac was able to help his team place second in the rail jam event at the USCSA Nationals. After competing for two seasons with the LU Snowboard Team, Isaac was privileged with the opportunity to co-captain the team with fellow teammate and senior Kevin Hoff. Finishing off the 2015 season with a 3rd place overall team finish in Slopestyle at the USCSA Nationals.
Isaac will graduate in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Studio and Digital Arts. He hopes to use graphic design and film to pursue a career in the action sports world.
