AFA Summer CyberCamp
The Liberty University Cybersecurity Camp is a free one-week-long day camp where students can learn cybersecurity skills and test them in a live environment. This is a great opportunity to learn cybersecurity concepts from expert instructors and professional penetration testers. Here, you will also work with peers to secure networked computer systems and participate in a team-based Cybersecurity Simulation Event. No experience is required.
Our Goals for the Program
- Ignite, sustain, and increase awareness of cybersecurity content, and cybersecurity postsecondary and career opportunities.
- Increase student diversity in cybersecurity college and career readiness pathways at the K-12 level.
- Create awareness of cybersecurity opportunities for students.
- Help all students understand correct and safe online behavior.
The vision of this program is to help solve our nation’s shortfall of skilled cybersecurity professionals. As we become more reliant on cyber-based technology in every aspect of our daily lives, it is critical to the future of our country’s national and economic security to help ensure that enough young people are inspired to direct their talents in this area.
GenCyber Summer Camp 2023
June 12-16, 2023
Qualifications
Thirty teens from the Central Virginia area will be selected to participate in the camp. The camp will provide hands-on training and activities in the School of Business. All rising students in grades 9-12 during the 2023-2024 academic year are eligible to participate.
