Biography
Dr. Estenson is an Associate Professor for Liberty University Online. She has worked in various roles in counselor education at faith-based universities, including Dean, Chair, Internship Coordinator, and Title IX Investigator, but her favorite roles include teaching and supervising trainees. In addition to academia, she worked in private practice specializing in group counseling for female clients who experienced childhood trauma. Utilizing creative arts intervention in counselor education and in therapy, Dr. Estenson has presented nationally, at the state level, and locally, as well as serving on the Board of the Greater Cincinnati Counseling Association. Current research interests include internship development, supervision, and the use of creativity in teaching and counseling.
