Biography

Scott Hayes serves as Dean for the School of Communication & the Arts (SCA) and a professor of theatre arts. He is a member of SAG and AEA, the professional unions for screen and stage actors. His directing work has been nationally recognized with distinction by the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival. His adaptions of Francine Rivers’ Redeeming Love and Shakespeare have been performed across the U.S. He is the editor of two books about composer Arthur Sullivan. Dean Hayes has been responsible for the creation of SVPA, the first BFA and MFA programs at Liberty, and new industry-standard arts facilities. Dean Hayes also serves as the chair for the Religion and Theatre Committee for SETC.
