Christopher L. Jones serves as a full-time professor of History & Education at Liberty University and is the Supervisor for the Social Studies Education Program. He began His career in Secondary Social Studies Education for nearly 20 years. In the mist, he has instructed LUO courses since 2005. Beginning in 2012, Dr. Jones brought his expertise to the residential campus with a focus on Early American History, World History, Latin American History, and Civil War History. In addition, he instructions educational methodology courses on the undergraduate and graduate level and supervises Social Studies Education majors through their internships and final stage of their degree program. He is also the Subject Matter Expert for the LUO Early American History course. Since 1992, he has done missionary work in Latin America as well as in West Africa. For fourteen years, he lived and served as a missionary school teacher and pastor in Ecuador, South America. He is an ordained minister and the History Department Chaplain. Along with his efforts to provide students with a quality education, his greatest passion is help them grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus and make a difference for the Kingdom of God.
