Champion for Christ – Victoria Warner

Victoria Warner is an LU alum, who graduated in December of 2021 with her Bachelor in Choral Music Education, but had the opportunity to walk across the stage this May. She has always pursued music with passion and is incredibly grateful for being able to choose a degree in that field. “To be honest, for several years I did not know exactly what I wanted to do with my life. One thing I DID know, was that I loved music, children, and worship…Music has an incredibly tremendous effect on me and influences all my relationships powerfully, especially through purposefully constructed time of music-augmented worship sessions. Therefore, the Lord lead me to the perfect degree.”

While at Liberty, Victoria recalls that God really started to work in her heart more – It wasn’t until her junior year that she began to take he relationship with God more seriously. She ended up discovering a club called Radio Christi, which is a worldwide organization whose goal is to equip students with historical philosophical, and scientific resources for following Jesus. She said that finding the club was an answer to prayer and that she was able to grow incredibly more spiritually after being involved. Due to her participation in the Ratio Christi club, Victoria received the Legatus Christi award, which shows her faithfulness to the club and her love for Christian Apologetics.

Victoria thought back to her fond memories that took place at Liberty and recalled loving the worship when she was on campus, whether at Convocation or the School of Music. Otherwise, she says, “I have had so many good memories at Liberty. It is difficult to pinpoint just one. I will say that I have enjoyed getting to know so many wonderful people there.”

Currently, she works as a private piano teacher at Second Stage Arts Center here in VA. Her advice towards current and future students is to go out and try new things, and to get involved. “Trust God with everything…He will not disappoint!”
