The M.S. in Biomedical Sciences is a 39-hour program for post-baccalaureate academic enhancement designed to:
Improve students’ academic record and increase their chances of admission to medical school and related graduate programs
Equip those who wish to teach at the post-secondary level
Provide a graduate-level degree for those seeking advancement in private industry

One Year Program (preferred for medical school)
$50 application fee (deferred until financial Check-In)
Unofficial college transcripts with a completed Transcript Request Form. An official final college transcript showing a completed Bachelor’s degree is required before first semester enrollment.
Regionally or nationally accredited Bachelor’s degree with at least a 2.75 GPA for admission into the one year program. (2.5 to 2.74 may be admitted on caution)
1 year of General Chemistry with lab.
1 year of Biology with lab.
1 semester of Organic Chemistry with residential lab (2 semesters recommended).
1 semester of Physics with residential lab (2 semesters recommended).
Any four of the following courses:*
One year of Anatomy/Physiology OR one semester of Physiology OR one Semester of Anatomy
One semester of Genetics
One semester of Microbiology
One semester of Cell Biology
One semester of Biochemistry
*Students who have not completed four of the six prerequisite courses will be required to enroll in BIOM 500 (Introduction to Biomedical Science) and receive a minimum grade of B-.
One semester of Biostatistics is recommended but not required.
Students must submit one of the following test scores:
MCAT - New scoring system (2015 and later): composite score of 493; Old scoring system (prior to 2015): 20
