Experiential Learning

Ministry Fellowship Program

The Ministry Fellowship Program gives you the opportunity to spend the Fall and Spring semesters of your senior year gaining hands-on, real-world ministry experience at an approved site under the supervision of seasoned ministry leaders.

Gap Year

Spend your first year after high school as a ministry intern, while beginning your coursework online, before moving on campus your sophomore year.

Global Internships

No matter what degree you're pursuing, you can earn academic credit through participation in a Global Internship. If you have never experienced hands-on ministry in a cross-cultural context, then this might be the perfect opportunity for you to broaden your experiential horizons.

Local & Regional Internships

Whether you want to stay close to campus or experience ministry in another area, we have connections with churches, camps and ministries all over the nation who have partnered with us to help equip you for ministry.

Christian Leadership & Church Ministry Practicums

If you're majoring in a CLCM degree, you will gain over 100 hours of ministry experience through leadership and ministry practicums prior to the start of your final internship.

Pastoral Leadership Designated Ministry Experience

As a pastoral leadership major you will gain over 200 hours of experience (prior to your internship) through five designated service opportunities. These experiences include small group leadership, outreach, preaching, and participation with a pastoral leadership team.

LU Network

The LU Network enables you to search for internship and job opportunities. If you're unsure where to begin in your search for a job or internship, the LU Network is a great place to start.

Professional Career Counseling

As a School of Divinity student, you have access to professional career counseling through the Career Center. If you need additional help searching for an internship, preparing for an interview, or drafting a resume, you can schedule a meeting with our School of Divinity Career Counselor, Tyler Holder.

Fall Ministry Fair

During the fall semester each year you have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with ministry leaders from local, national, and international ministries who come offering internships, part-time, and full-time employment opportunities specifically to you as a Liberty School of Divinity student. The fair takes place on the second Tuesday of November.
