The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a progressive five-year strategic initiative (QEP Timeline), utilizing a three-tiered approach designed to effectuate a mission-focused culture of research and scholarship at Liberty University. The QEP initiative, under the oversight of the Center for Research & Scholarship (CRS), will collaborate in partnership with university offices and personnel to systematically increase students’ knowledge and skill levels in research.

The QEP topic selection process commenced in the fall of 2013, soliciting a call to all university constituencies including faculty, staff, and students for potential QEP topic proposal ideas that would strengthen and improve student learning and the learning environment. Students and faculty were encouraged to evaluate their academic programs and, where appropriate, review existing assessment data to inform the rationale for topic selection.
