Prior to entering higher education, Dr. Eric Cohu spent four years working in the financial industry, highlighted by approximately three years with First American Corporation (now Regions Bank) in Nashville, Tenn. Some of his clients included the Tennessee Titans, the Nashville Predators as well as many executives in the music and healthcare industries.
While at Liberty University from 2006-2009, Cohu worked as an assistant football coach at Liberty Christian Academy (LCA) in Lynchburg with Coach Frank Rocco.
In the fall of 2010, Cohu was named the Director of International Relations for the IFL (Israel Football League). Cohu has been consulting for the IFL since 2007 and travels to Israel twice a year to work for the league.
Cohu served as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Liberty University from the fall of 2006 until the spring semester of 2009. He then left Liberty to pursue his passion of coaching high school football and working with young people by accepting the head football coach position at Madison Academy in Huntsville, Ala. Cohu grew up in Southwest Missouri and met his wife Carolyn (from Memphis, Tenn.) in Arkansas while in college. They have two children, Baylor and Cassie, and strive to serve the Lord daily.
