Improve your oral, listening, reading, and writing proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), Arabic, Chinese, English as a Second Language (ESL), French, German, Russian, and Spanish. Liberty University's Foreign Language Lab offers free language tutoring services with native and near-native target-language users to Liberty University students currently enrolled in language courses at the university.
Due to recent changes in FLL policies, ESL tutoring appointments are only available to students currently enrolled in an academic course. If you are not enrolled in a course and are interested in learning another language, please visit the CPCE webpage for more language-learning opportunities.
Each FLL tutoring appointment is assigned a specific room location (e.g. DH 1100AB or JFL 280). You are responsible to arrive at that specific location at the time of your appointment.
Students currently enrolled in a language course at the university are welcome to set up individual tutoring sessions with any of the Foreign Language Lab language tutors, whether these sessions are required for a course or serve as an opportunity to advance your language skills outside of the classroom. ESL tutoring is available to all Liberty University students.
Conversation groups are open to all students currently enrolled in a language course at the university. These workshop appointments provide an opportunity to practice your speaking skills through engaging conversation in a relaxed setting. Up to 5 participants are permitted for each session.
Online students should visit the Online Foreign Language Lab.
