My Nighttime Routine

Let’s be real for a moment - college can be pretty inconsistent.  Between juggling classes, friends, work, and sleep…every day looks a little different!  That’s why having a consistent morning and nighttime routine is extremely necessary. 

So without further ado, here is my favorite nighttime routine!

1. Chatting with my Roommate:

This is the part of the routine that I never forget!  This may not be the case for everyone, but my roommate has become one of my best friends this year.  I love coming back to our room and talking about how our days were, laughing together, being there for each other on the hard days, and celebrating the good days!  Our little “home” here at Liberty has been the biggest blessing of my junior year!

2. Pick Outfit/Pack Backpack:

I’ve mentioned this in a previous blog, but this truly is a game-changer! I always choose my outfit for the next day and pack my bag at night so my morning a little bit easier.  If I wait to pack my bag or choose my outfit until morning, there’s a bigger chance I’ll forget something or run late!

3. Schedule My Day:

I use the calendar app on my phone to keep my life as organized as I can!  I love to check my schedule the night before so I know where I have to be and when for the next day.  If you haven’t already noticed, I love being organized.  I’m all about it.

4. Tea and a Book:

I absolutely love drinking a warm cup of honey lemon tea and reading a few chapters of a book before bed!  I’ve noticed that if I’m on my phone or laptop before bed, I don’t sleep as well.  Because my days are often busy, it is always so nice to have the chance to relax a little bit!  For those of you that don’t love to read, I also love to journal!

I hope you can use these nighttime tips to get a little more sleep and stay a little more organized!
