Spring Break 2014March 21, 2014
This spring break I was invited to cabin just outside of Charlottesville, Virginia. I went with 3 other girls and we had a blast sleeping in, eating out and laughing hard. Here are some places that we check out over break:
The cabin that we stayed at was 45 minutes away from Charlottesville and so we took a couple trips to shop and walk around downtown. My aunt and uncle own a chain of boutiques called Bluetique, so we visited the one in Charlottesville. We also went to an urban Mexican restaurant. It was cheap and delicious! On one of our other trips to Charlottesville, we went to the Urban Outfitters and a cute restaurant called Brookeville Café. Overall Charlottesville is a phenomenal place.
We came back to campus Friday afternoon, which was nice because I wanted to get settled in before school started again on Monday. That Saturday I met up with some other friends and we decided to climb Sharp Top to see the sunset. I ended up climbing in jean shorts and a pair of Vans. This wasn’t the best idea but I made it. If you haven’t hiked at all while you’ve been at Liberty, you need to. Being nature helps us to recognize Gods glory. Also, being on top of the mountain reminded me of how small I am compared to the rest of the world.
Overall I had a fabulous break. It was nice to get away but I am definitely glad to be back to my crazy life on campus. Here are some extra photos from the break.
