Campus Life
The Liberty family is an authentic Christian community where students and professors hold each other to high standards and genuinely care about each other's well-being. This environment helps make Liberty one of the friendliest university campuses in the United States.
With over 12,000 resident students from all 50 states and more than 70 countries, Liberty's campus is vibrant and exciting! The student code of conduct, known as The Liberty Way, guides students to dress and behave modestly and morally.
What is Campus Life Like at Liberty?
Known for Safety
Liberty University Police Department (LUPD) officers have full law enforcement powers and responsibilities and provide 24/7 patrol protection of the campus, parking lots, residence halls and other properties controlled by the university.
Easy Mobility
Although Liberty is one of the few universities that allow freshmen to have a car on campus, you'll have no trouble getting around without one. Liberty operates a comprehensive transportation system, designed to make the campus and the surrounding community accessible through:
- An efficient intracampus transit system
- Access to the Lynchburg city bus system
- Airport/train and bus station services during major campus breaks
The Campus Map will help you find your way around Liberty's 6,500-acre campus.
