My Last Semester...January 29, 2014
It seems like just yesterday I was writing about my first day of senior year and I blinked and week two of classes is coming to an end. So, I’ve officially had my last first day of classes and in some ways I’m excited but in a lot of ways I’m sad. I’m sad to be done with the first week of classes because that’s the best week of the semester. Everything is new and exciting and you feel like you can conquer the semester and get straight A’s. Then as the next weeks progress you begin to realize the amount of work you will actually have to put in to get those grades you want. It’s a daunting task but at the end of the semester when you see your hard work pay off, it’s all worth it.
Christmas break was really nice to just get away and read books that I chose myself. I managed to read 4 non-school related books over the break and it was such a nice treat to relax and read. I had lots of fun with my family too! We did all of our Christmas traditions as a family and had lots of time together. It was definitely a reality check that this was most likely my last big chunk of time being home in Sweden but I’m definitely excited for what kind of job the future holds for me.
It’s so fun being back and a big part of that is getting to attend sporting and campus events again. The first weekend back we had a big basketball game against High Point University and it was a whiteout! I’ve never seen so many people attend a basketball game. In the last 2 minutes, Liberty was only trailing by 2 points but we just couldn’t catch up and win.
I’m so excited to see where the future takes me and I’m excited to share with you all my last semester at Liberty. I’m definitely going to miss blogging for Liberty after almost 3 years!
