Liberty vs. NC StateSeptember 12, 2011
Early Saturday morning I headed down to Raleigh, North Carolina for a day of tailgating and then the Liberty Flames football game against NC State University. It was Liberty’s first football game of the year and I couldn’t imagine missing it! Thankfully, I was able to hang out with a group of people I worked with at Crossroads Worldwide this summer! One of my favorite things of the day was tailgating because it was my first time ever doing it! Last year I was gone every weekend that we tailgated as a dorm and I never did it in high school because football is not a sport played in Europe.
After tailgating, we went over to the stadium a little early and found where we were sitting. At first we were a little nervous because we were sitting in a section surrounded by NC State fans, but they were all really nice and we had a friendly competition. The Liberty Flames ended up loosing (21-43) mainly because of the 7 turnovers, but we put up a really good fight. According to ESPN news they said “The Flames consistently found ways to move the ball against an experienced defense that played seven starters from 2010.” I am so glad I was able to go to the game and I had so much fun!
