All Night of PrayerSeptember 12, 2011
One event that I attended on Friday night/Saturday morning was Liberty’s All Night of Prayer put on by the Office of Student Leadership. I don’t know of any other school where at every hour of one night someone is praying for our school. The way this event works is that every dorm is assigned a one hour time slot to come to the outside of Demoss Hall on main campus and pray. Our dorm was assigned the 2:00-3:00 a.m slot and we ended up staying until 3:30 praying and singing with our brother and sister dorm.
I love this event because you really have to force yourself to get out of bed in the middle of the night to pray. And it's really hard but once you are there, you are so thankful that you woke up. I was especially tired because the night before I went to watch the bridge being put in, but I was so glad I went. It is really special seeing so many people praying for our schools’s leader, peers, pastors, families, and unsaved friends. Liberty has such a huge heart for prayer and for all of us to really learn how to pray for others!
