Fall Semester 2011 Has Begun!August 22, 2011
I am so pleased to be able to tell you all that I have returned to campus for the fall semester of my Sophomore year of college! It is such a wonderful feeling being back with all of my friends and getting to know new students after being away for the summer. I had so many fun experiences this summer so I figured I would give you some of the highlights.
As I wrote in my last blog before summer break, I was able to go home to Sweden to visit my family for a month and during that time, my parents surprised me with a trip to Paris! I have lived in Europe for 9 years and never been to the city of love and light. So after two days of traveling by car, we finally arrived in Paris! In the three days that we were there, we saw: The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Versailles Palace (picture with my family below), Rodin Museum, and The Louvre. The food was amazing and I was even brave enough to try Escargots (Snails) which were surprisingly good!
After I got back to the states, I headed straight to Boiling Springs, North Carolina where I worked at Clayton King’s summer camp called Crossroads Worldwide. Clayton is also a campus pastor at Liberty and preaches every Wednesday night at Campus Church. I had so much fun but we also worked hard to make camp excellent for the new campers every week. God taught me so much this summer through different people and He confirmed my calling for ministry.
I can’t wait to share more of my experiences with you all and I hope that you will continue to read my blog this semester. I have some really exciting things that I want to write about and I really want you all to see what life as a Liberty student is like.
