Intramural SportsMay 4, 2011
Liberty has an amazing Intramural Sports program. For those of you who are like “Lizzy, what in the world is Intramural Sports?” here is Liberty’s definition: “Intramural Sports are organized recreational sports leagues that allow students at Liberty to participate in a variety of team and individual sports. Competition exists, but the real focus of intramural sports is health and exercise, social interaction, stress reduction, sportsmanship, and teamwork.”
The different sports you can play are: Basketball, Coed Volleyball, Fantasy Football, Outdoor Flag Football, Indoor Flag Football, Outdoor Soccer, Indoor Soccer, Softball, Broomball, Disc Golf. Tournaments include Beach Volleyball, Paintball, Dodgeball, Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee.
This past thursday I had the privilege to watch the Coed Volleyball championship game because my close friend Alyssa was on the team BANG BANG. After a pretty intense game “BANG BANG” beat the reigning champions “Snap, Crackle, Pop” and went on to have an undefeated season of 17-0.
