Spiritual Life

Students worship in convocation
Students worship in convocation

Each week thousands of students from dozens of countries and all 50 states, come together to worship, pray and discover the answers to their deepest questions about who they are and who God is.

The dress code is relaxed and everyone is welcome, including skeptics and critics. No facades, no dry sermons, just honest faith and real people.

Campus Community takes place on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm, typically in Thomas Road Baptist Church.

An integral part of spiritual life at Liberty University is the thrice-weekly convocation service. Students have the opportunity to enjoy world-class speakers and a professional-quality praise and worship band during the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 am services in the Vines Center.

Prayer Groups

Prayer Groups meet weekly to offer students spiritual discipleship and personal prayer support. They are designed to contribute to the development of Christian growth and maturity through Bible study, peer-group interaction, and prayer. Students have access to at least 5 spiritual leaders on their residence hall.

Liberty University students understand the importance of the Great Commission — and Liberty provides opportunities and support for short- and long-term missions trips through a number of organizations.
