RAINN Day—September 21st

RAINN Day is an annual national campaign of action to raise awareness and educate students about sexual violence on college campuses. It is a grassroots program designed to empower college students to educate their peers about risk reduction and recovery resources on their campus.

The Liberty University Title IX Office is joining this effort by displaying student, staff, and faculty decorated umbrellas with messages and illustrations aimed to end the violence. These will be displayed throughout the Montview Student Union. Please join us in participating in this event by decorating an umbrella or visiting our table on September 21st.

Dr. Cat’s Chat—Starting in September

Come join us for an informal conversation with Dr. Cat, Executive Director of Title IX to talk about issues covered by Title IX. Enjoy some coffee, tea, or cocoa while you learn and ask questions about how to SpeakUP against sexual assault, how to report, and so much more. See our Facebook page to learn more.

Domestic Violence Prayer Vigil—October 30th

Taking place on the front steps of DeMoss Hall. We will have a time of praying for those affected by domestic violence. Students are given the opportunity to share their prayer requests anonymously and given the opportunity to pray for the requests of their peers by observing a display of requests. We encourage you to attend this event to pray healing and restoration for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.
