Brandy Vancil is gratefully serving as a Resident Counselor with Student Counseling Services. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Her counseling experience and areas of focus for practice include anxiety, depression, sexually-addictive behaviors, grief and adjustment, and couples work, utilizing a Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy framework. Brandy has experience working with clients employing a 12-Step Recovery framework in individual and group settings and helping young women in a residential setting. Prepare-Enrich trained, Brandy enjoys working with pre-marital and marital couples and considers walking life with students individually or in groups at Liberty University a sacred privilege. Brandy married her best friend and they consider themselves blessed to have a 4-year-old son. Believing that ‘play’ is a God-given way to navigate the stresses of life, Brandy enjoys utilizing her musical, theatrical, and creative talents in both her work with clients and daily living.
