Committee on Student Life

Caleb Kenney

Chair

The Committee on Student Life crafts legislation that best represents students’ needs and desires for all areas of residence life; the Liberty Way; construction projects on campus; Liberty University building hours not under the jurisdiction of other committees; and all matters not otherwise covered under the jurisdiction of other committees. The Committee works closely with departments such as the Office of Residence Life, Office of Student Leadership, Office of Equity & Inclusion, Dean of Students and others, to help improve student life. The Committee meets bi-weekly or as often as the Committee determines is necessary.

Committee on Transportation and Dining

Daniel Jackson Archer

Chair

The Committee on Transportation and Dining crafts legislation that best represents students’ needs and desires for all areas of dining, vending machines, transportation, and off-campus matters not under the jurisdiction of other committees. The Committee works closely with departments such as Dining Services and Transit Services. The Committee on Auxiliary Services meets bi-weekly or as often as the Committee determines is necessary.

Joint Committee on Research and Refinement

Andrew Morris

Chair

The Joint Committee on Research and Refinement sifts through failed legislation proposals and clarifies policy points and writing format. They also perform in-depth research and analysis to determine the viability of bills before they go through the legislative process.

Committee on Student Wellness

Katherine Musgrove

Chair

The Committee on Student Wellness crafts legislation that best represents students’ needs and desires for all areas of spiritual, emotional, and physical wellness. The Committee works closely with departments such as the Office of Spiritual Development, the Student Counseling Center, the Student Health Center, and LU Serve. The Committee meets bi-weekly or as often as the Committee determines is necessary.

Committee on Elections

Eddie Rea

Chair

The Committee on Elections oversees many internal House of Delegates matters, such as delegates’ CSER tracking at House of Delegates’ meetings as well as the Speaker and committee elections at the end of the academic year. The Committee is by appointment only and arrives early to House meetings for CSER tracking and is present to facilitate elections.

Committee on Academics and Culture

Cameron Pflieger

Chair

The Committee on Academics and Culture crafts legislation for areas of academics, the Jerry Falwell Library, sports, clubs, and CSER. The Chair of the Committee on Academics and Culture reviews new club applications and approves or denies clubs based on their merit and compliance with the Liberty Way.  The Committee meets bi-weekly or as often as the Committee determines is necessary.
