Sophia accepted Christ as her savior at the age of 5 years old.  She grew up in a Christian home and was encouraged to pursue God.  Her dad was in the Air Force when she was growing up, which caused  her family to move quite frequently.  Because of the different areas she lived and the little amount of time that they would ever settle into a place, she developed a  sense of adventure and  travel.  She realized the diversity and beauty that our country contains, let alone the whole world.  So, she decided to use those passions and desires to get involved in overseas missions. In the summer of 2013, she decided to go and live for 3 months in Ethiopia and discovered her love and passion for the people.  One day, she hopes to become a licensed counselor so that she can go where the Lord leads her to serve and to help heal those from their emotional and mental wounds.
