Liberty University Convocation Announcements, Slides and Video Submission Procedures
One of the many facets of the Office of Spiritual Programs is the administration and management of Convocation announcements. It is our sincere desire to assist the Liberty University community by promoting their organization and/or event. In order to better serve the University, we have developed a detailed and concise list of available avenues for your organization to choose from. Please understand that all announcements, no matter what format, are submitted for consideration and are not automatically integrated into the Convocation schedule.
Below is a list of the various options, their associated guidelines and submission procedures:
- Verbal Announcement Submission
- A maximum of 60 words explaining the basic, general information associated with your event and/or organization.
- Email request to convocation@liberty.edu.
- Standard Convocation Slide Submission
A maximum of 60 words explaining basic and general information associated with the event.
- As a service to your organization, the Office of Spiritual Programs staff will input the information into a standard Convocation slide.
- Standard Convocation slides run pre- and post-Convocation only.
- Email request to convocation@liberty.edu.
- Customized Convocation Slide Submission
- All customized Convocation slide submissions in Photoshop. Also submit any additional fonts that are used.
- Slide submissions should include all original layers, submitted in 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels, and created in 8-bit RGB mode at 72 pixels per inch. A 25-pixel margin on all sides is recommended.
- Customized Convocation slides are ran pre and post Convocation only.
- Email request to convocation@liberty.edu.
- Video Submission
- All video submissions are accepted on disc only. Please understand that discs will not be returned.
- Videos should be submitted to the Office of Spiritual Programs, Campus North 1605.
- Videos are ran pre and post Convocation only.
- SPECIAL NOTE – It is strongly recommended that any organization considering a video contact the Office of Spiritual Programs, either via email convocation@liberty.edu, or by calling 592-3274, for prior approval.
General announcement submission guidelines:
- All announcement requests must be submitted two business days prior to their desired Convocation service start date.
- Within your email submission, please indicate the desired start date of the announcement, as well as the ending date.
- When submitting a request via email, please indicate what option you are requesting within the subject line of the email (i.e. Verbal Announcement Submission, Standard Convocation Slide Submission, or Customized Convocation Slide Submission).
Again, it is the privilege of the Office of Spiritual Programs to serve the Liberty University community. Please understand that due to the large volume of submissions, the Office of Spiritual Programs must use discretion concerning which announcements, slides and videos are actually integrated, and that notification of acceptance cannot be accommodated.
