NLSC FAQs

Our staff accompanies the campers everywhere all day long, so you can be sure that your child is safe and having more fun learning to ski and snowboard in June and July than you ever imagined. We all love to ski, snowboard, and skateboard here at the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre, and this summer we would love the opportunity to share that with your child! (Please note: when registering, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox works best. Internet Explorer is not working at this time.)

1. Where do the campers stay for the week? 
We stay on the beautiful 7,000+ acre campus of Liberty University and, more specifically, in the dorm facilities located there. 

2. Is food provided and, if so, what can they expect to eat? 
Liberty University treats us well and allows us to dine at their dining hall. This facility offers an array of dining genres for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The cost for food is included in the camp price. However, we do recommend that campers bring snacks for the hours between meals. Also, if your camper has a specific food allergy, preference, or sensitivity we need to know about please email us at summercamps@liberty.edu. 

3. Can parents stay on the dorms with their child? 
We do not allow parents to stay with their children on the dorm facilities. We group similar ages together in the dorms to prevent any questionable things from happening. Parents who would like to stay the week are encouraged to stay with our business partner, The Wingate by Wyndham, which is the closest lodging to our facility and offer discounted rates to LMSC attendees. 

4. When is the drop-off and pick-up time? 
Overnight Campers must arrive at camp from 2:00PM-4:00PM on Sunday for check-in. They must be picked up by 12:00PM Friday.

Day Campers are to be dropped off anytime after 8:00AM and picked up by 4:00PM. 

5. Are afternoon activities mandatory? 
Afternoon activities are not mandatory. However, if a camper does not wish to attend one then he/she must stay on the dorm hall under the supervision of camp staff. Naptime is considered an afternoon activity. 

6. Is there a minimum age for the overnight camp? 
No, there is no official minimum age for our overnight camp. We're happy to accommodate many age groups and skill levels. The general rule of thumb is to consider if your child would require more supervision than other children or you are concerned about his/her skill level. If this is a concern, LMSC does offer day camps as well. 

There is a maximum age: a camper cannot be over the age of 21. 

7. What are the hours for Day Camp? 
8:00AM - 4:00PM. 

8. Is there online registration? 
We do have an online form, and we accept all major credit card companies. (Please note, when registering Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox works best. Internet Explorer is not working at this time).

9. How many campers can a room accommodate? 
Each room accommodates up to three campers. Don't sweat it if you can't get all your friends in the same room - they'll most likely be next door. The rooms are apartment style and very convenient for hanging out with all your buddies (and supervision.) 

10. What is the Early Bird Discount?

We offer a discount of 10% off overnight and day camps, as long as a camper is registered by February 26th at 11:59pm. 

11. Other discounts

The other discounts we offer are 10% off for Military, USASA Members, and Liberty Students/Alumni. The only other discounts we offer are when a family brings 3 or more family members, in which case, every third family member is 50% off. 

12. What about refunds? 

We are willing to refund the full amount less the deposit up to 30 days before the start of camp. Due to the nature of the deposit, it is non-refundable with no exceptions. We are always willing to pay forward current balances to the next year, regardless of the nature of the payment (i.e. deposit, full payment within the 30 day period). That would mean that, upon signing up for the next year of camp, whatever balance you had from the year prior would be pulled over to that current year.
