75 hour Accelerated M.Div. (Non-Thesis Track)

Admissions Information Request Information

The Master of Divinity is the standard professional degree for ministry. This program prepares students for professional Christian ministry through in-depth study of biblical leadership principles and strategies as well as intensive study of the Scriptures and essential truths of the Christian faith. The 75 hour Accelerated Master of Divinity allows students to build upon their undergraduate theological training and continue their education without the need for introductory level courses.

Entrance Requirements

The student must have an undergraduate degree in biblical or related religious studies from an accredited college or university with a minimum grade of B for each course. The student’s undergraduate major should be in a discipline directly related to the courses in the Accelerated M.Div. curriculum. The Accelerated M.Div. is built upon 36 hours of prerequisites. The student’s transcript must reflect the prerequisites as listed below.

Basic New Testament Surveys (SOR BIBL 110 and NT 300 or 400 Elective)


Church History  (SOR CHHI 301-302)


Systematic Theology I and II (SOR THEO 201-202)


Christian Ministries (SOR CHMN 201, YOUT 201)


Contemporary Theological Issues (SOR THEO 350)




The prerequisites in Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, may each be completed with two survey courses or with one survey course and an additional elective in the same discipline. In either case, the prerequisite courses must cover the entire range of material covered in the School of Divinity courses.

Students who have not fulfilled all prerequisites may complete the remaining prerequisites, not to exceed 2 courses (6 hours), at the beginning of work toward the degree.
