Dr. Mike Mitchell
During nearly four decades of ministry in local church and school education, Dr. Mike has founded and served as pastor in three churches, assisted as an associate or executive pastor in five megachurches and has been an administrator for three schools (public and private). Some of these opportunities overlapped, and within them he led ministries for children, youth and adults, and facilitated recreation, singles and men and women’s ministries, as well as small group fellowships. He partnered with his wife to home educate their two children for a total of 11 years.
Presently, Dr. Mike serves as an Associate Professor of Christian Leadership at LBTS. He has also authored Leading, Teaching, and Making Disciples and contributed to the Serendipity Study Bible for Groups. His vocation is his avocation, but when he can he loves to get outdoors, participate in sports, and swim.
