Biography:

Dr. Chong serves as the Dean of the Center for Asian Ministries (CAM), overseeing all Asian ministries at Liberty University on all levels, and as Professor of Theology and Biblical studies. He has 30 years of experience in various pastoral ministries, ranging from youth, young adult, and senior pastorate. He accepted the Lord as his savior in college after immigrating from South Korea. He previously taught at Liberty University and served as the Dean of Korean Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary before coming back to Liberty. He has preached at churches and led seminars in many countries in Asia and Europe. Dr. Chong’s academic and ministry interests include Korean, Korean-American, Asian, and Asian-American issues. As a part of his ongoing work, Dr. Chong participates in Asian/global missions while researching the future of the church. He and his wife, Julianne, have two grown children.
