Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary’s Master of Arts in Theological Studies (M.A.T.S.) program is geared toward individuals seeking an introductory graduate degree in religion for service in a supportive role in their local church. Courses include surveys of the Old and New Testament and systemic theology, providing students with a solid foundation from which to understand the fundamentals of the Bible, Christianity, Christian theology, and the Christian church. This program is well-suited for pastors, Christian educators, and informed lay leaders.

Most of the degrees at LBTS are offered both residental and online formats, but the M.A.T.S. is also offered in a unique and highly convenient format designed for those who want residental classes, but cannot go to school during normal classroom hours.
