U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina visited Liberty University on Tuesday to motivate Virginians to join the campaign for McCain.
“I’m here because we’re trying to win Virginia,” Graham said. “The positive message of Senator McCain needs to be told.”

Seated on two- and four-wheeled vehicles, riders recently hit the dirt, testing out Liberty University’s new motocross track. Nestled in LU’s Jack Mountain property, the wooded arena features numerous doubles, table tops, loops and off-camber turns.

When Family and Consumer Sciences professor Ruth Gomes suggested that the Creation Studies display, located in the Science Hall off the DeMoss courtyard, needed a new look, seniors Bethany Turner and Lydia Norton agreed and began coming up with a proposal for the redesign.

Liberty University’s Fall Missions Conference is set to kick off Monday with a focus on the disasters that shake up our everyday lives. With the theme of “Rescue,” Missions Emphasis Week (MEW) is set to encourage students to embrace a compassion for spreading the Gospel to the “least reached” people of the world.

McDonnall lost her husband, David, and three close friends in a terrorist attack on the mission field in Iraq...

Nearly 3,000 parents participated in Liberty University’s Family Weekend, Oct. 17 and 18.
Events included a Chancellor’s Dinner Friday night, followed by a hockey match, a Saturday morning meet-and-greet reception sponsored by the Parents Program Office and the Parents Development Board meeting on Saturday.

Brett O’Donnell, former director of debate for Liberty University, visited campus to speak to students during Friday’s convocation. After coaching Liberty’s debaters for 18 years, O’Donnell is now the Communications Strategist for Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain’s campaign.

Liberty University Head Football Coach Danny Rocco took the stage at Friday’s convocation, encouraging students to come out to Saturday’s home contest against the Lafayette Leopards.
“We need everybody in this facility today to be at that game tomorrow,” Rocco told a packed Vines Center.

Baby bottles filled with money collected by Liberty University students for the local Liberty Godparent Home lined a table below the stage at Wednesday’s convocation in the Vines Center.
The Liberty Godparent Home reaches out to young women who are facing pregnancy alone, providing them with shelter, medical care, and a network of Christian families who are willing to adopt.

As another REDHOT Flames football team takes to the field for Saturday’s game, Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. is urging the faculty, staff and student body to wear red on Friday to show their support.

The city of Lynchburg will hold a brainstorming session on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Liberty University’s Reber-Thomas Dining Hall to help formulate a bicycle and pedestrian plan for Wards Road. Students and the general public are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts.

Applause filled the Vines Center at Wednesday’s convocation as Liberty University’s own Dr. Ed Hindson took the podium... Hindson’s battle started last winter when medical tests revealed that he had major blockages in five of his main cardiac arteries. He needed open heart surgery, and it initially seemed like the surgery went fine.

After making a 40-yard field goal at Saturday’s football game, junior Sean Katz won a new car from Mabry Automotive Group. During every home game television timeout, students are chosen at random to participate in the Wild Wheels Kick-Off field goal competition.
