Thanks in part to Liberty University’s licensing efforts and tremendous athletics success, students and Flames fans now have another outlet to buy LU apparel. High Peak Sportswear, with locations on Memorial Avenue in The Plaza and on Main Street in downtown Lynchburg, is currently selling officially licensed and locally screen-printed Liberty clothing and novelty items, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, visors, hats, polo shirts, pocketbooks, car flags, tote bags and backpacks.

This past week Liberty University forged a strategic partnership with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the largest Hispanic Christian organization in America which represents nearly 20,000 churches and approximately 16 million Hispanic Christians.

Charles Lowery, a psychiatrist-turned–motivational speaker, delivered the message at Friday’s convocation. As a self-billed “power communicator,” Lowery’s clients have included AT&T, Jenny Craig Systems, State Farm Insurance Company and more.

As grading continues for Liberty University’s artificial ski slope, the incline’s rental fleet is now in storage and ready for use on opening day. Last month, the university inked deals with HEAD and Tube Pro, establishing the two companies as the official suppliers of the slope’s snow sports rental equipment.
