Global Focus Week (GFW) is a semi-annual event aimed at raising global awareness among Liberty University students, faculty, and staff. Throughout GFW, students will have the opportunity to hear from globally influential Convocation guests, connect with global workers, experience a variety of cultures, and participate in interactive events.

Come see how the Emergency Field Hospital of Samaritan’s Purse is bringing hope to the lives of those most vulnerable around the globe.  Through the hands-on guidance of on-site medical clinicians and trained staff, you will learn how ordinary people are making an extraordinary difference in the midst of war and disaster.  Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!

Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) Documentary

Come view this newly released documentary sponsored by Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) called “Operation Toussaint.”  You will experience the story of O.U.R. and how they work closely with International law enforcement to arrest those involved in human trafficking and rescue those most vulnerable.  See their story unfold as sting operations are executed in order to stop human trafficking in Haiti.  *To be screened after the “Shatter the Silence” event.

In partnership with SIM, come hear the inspirational testimony of Nancy Writebol.  During the Ebola outbreak in March of 2014, she was one of the first Americans to become infected with the Ebola virus during her time as a volunteer with the relief efforts.  Come be encouraged by her story of faith and how her ministry of trauma-healing is helping so many in West Africa. *Light lunch to be served – limited supply.  ** Trauma-healing workshop to follow this event.
