Everyone knows that the end of the school year can be stressful. With projects to wrap up and tests to study for, it may feel like there isn’t enough time to get everything done.
In the midst of the chaos, remember to spend time with God. Focus on His desires for you, and don’t let these momentary stressors throw you off track.
James 1:3 says, “For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.” One of the greatest expressions of God’s love is that he changes us to be more like Him. Be encouraged that when things get tough you are not alone, God is with you and He is helping you grow.
Meet Hayden Michael Taylor, a freshman at Liberty University Online Academy.
Taylor and his family moved from Houston, Texas, to Northeast England in August 2011 to start a ministry called UK-USA Ministries. The ministry allows the Taylors to share their faith, tell their story, and show Christ’s love to the children involved with UK-USA ministries.
In his free time, Taylor loves to play football (soccer), basketball, tennis, and table tennis. He prefers to do his schoolwork in the mornings, and he appreciates being able to complete his work at his own pace. The flexibility also affords him the opportunity to participate in his family’s ministry during the day.
Someday Taylor would like to attend Liberty University and perhaps even play soccer for the Flames! We are glad that Taylor chose to study with Liberty Online Academy!
Advisor Q & A
Q: Where did the school calendar in the curriculum go?
A: The calendar function in the curriculum no longer exists. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact your academic advisor with any questions you have regarding your school schedule.
Anne Ryan-Dempsey has taught English at Liberty Online Academy for two years. Prior to her time at the academy, she taught at a local high school for three years. She holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English and wrote her thesis on Mark Twain’s novels.
Ryan-Dempsey and her husband, Jacob, live in the Tidewater area of Virginia. In addition to teaching, she owns a small photography business and volunteers her skills to assist various charities. One of Ryan-Dempsey’s goals is to visit every national park in the U.S.
Her favorite verse is Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” We are very thankful to have her as part of the Liberty Online Academy family!
